About the Scheme
The Partnership believes in the need to support and help our residents
to build strong, cohesive, caring and self determining communities.
Our Community Grants Scheme is designed to enable and contribute
to this in Sheerwater and Maybury.
Grants are available to help organisations, groups and sometimes
individuals start up new projects, purchase equipment, run one-off
events etc. for the benefit of the residents of the Partnership’s
area.
The amount of the grant that can be applied for is up to a maximum
of £500.
Funds are limited and applicants are encouraged not to automatically
request the maximum sum, but to only ask for what they need so that
as many different community groups as possible can benefit.
Area covered by our Community Grants Scheme
The area covered is based on the Sheerwater / Maybury Partnership area.
Trustees Award
The Trustees have agreed an Investment Policy to provide the finance
and resource annually for this Scheme.
Each year at the Annual General Meeting our Members are asked to
approve the value of the award for the forthcoming financial year.
Panel Membership
The panel will normally comprise 6 people (at least one of whom must be a Director) who are members of the Partnership and/or live, work or represent local groups in our Community.
All decisions made by the Panel will be open fair and transparent and consistent with our aims and objectives.
Panel members will respect the views of other Panel Members and will declare any conflicts of interest.
If a Panel member declares a conflict of interest they will not be involved in the decision about whether an application is approved or not. Other members will make the decision. |
