For the last four years we have been providing free books to the young people of Woking
Providing books is simple, effective and relatively inexpensive way to promote language growth.
Owning books is a critical feature of every child’s intellectual development.
Thanks to our sponsors we currently are presenting nearly a 1000 books each term to students and children.
More than 10,000 books have been presented to young people in our community.
Currently we support seven schools in Woking
The seven schools are:
- Broadmere Community Primary School
- Kingfield School
- Maybury Infant School
- New Monument School
- Sythwood Primary School
- The Park School
- The Bishop David Brown School
Many of our young people do not own a book of their own at home!
What the Children say:
“I love reading my super duper books I got five books to read at home now”
“Thank you for the books you have given me this year I read them again and again”
“My favourite book was The Tiger who came to Tea – Thank you”
“I couldn’t stop reading them. I kept reading them over and over and again”
“I changed when I found books that I liked”
