The Sheerwater/Maybury Partnership is located in affluent Surrey and is surrounded by affluent Woking but is one of the most deprived areas in Surrey.
The Sheerwater/ Maybury Partnership is a community charity focussed on the ward of Sheerwater and Maybury which is located east of Woking town centre. There are 3215 households in the area and a population of 9000 plus.
Our community has the largest Asian population in Surrey and 68% of Woking Asians are living in Sheerwater and Maybury together with people from China, Africa, Italy, Portugal and the middle European states.
The Charity will operate as an enabling organisation providing support to the communities of Sheerwater and Maybury in order to improve the quality of life for individuals, community groups and the community at large.
The Charity believes that the ideal way to engage with the different ethnicities and interests within our area is through the youth and as such is focused on engagement and support to this age group through a wide range of initiatives to foster citizenship and create health and wealth. |
