I bring slightly different cards to the partnership’s table as a musician – working closely with two of the schools (as well as being a governor in both schools). I’m also a minister in the United Reformed Church working as a community minister in the Sheerwater community, with the church based there.
Musical literacy is often seen as the poor relation in education, but its ability to build up friendships and community is quite key. The partnership has been a great supporter of my work, and I’m delighted to be able to return some of that support as a director. |
